Greetings brothers and sisters in the name of Christ Jesus!
“Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him” (Psalm 37:7)
The Easter season brings forth so many emotional feelings. We find ourselves praising Christ one moment and weeping for him the next; yet through those tears, we stand in awe as the Lamb of God reveals to us the wounds he suffered, the death he conquered, and the life eternal he won for us. Glory to God in the highest! Glory to the Lamb of God, our Savior Jesus Christ! He has risen! He has risen indeed!
Easter is a time to plant and a time to patiently wait upon the Lord. Christ, the gardener, as Mary identified him at first, is breathing upon the newly planted seeds assuring them growth through the Holy Spirit. Spring rains softly baptize the earth as God announces his presence among us as well. We are in such good hands with these three. Take comfort, everyone, in knowing that the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are watching over us, nurturing, and caring for us.
Allow God to continue to mold and shape you. You may need pruning. You may need extra sunshine or perhaps a change of scenery. God knows what is best for your continuing growth. Patiently wait for His guidance and be willing to be led wherever he takes you.
To patiently wait upon God means to constantly watch and listen for God’s voice. Too patiently wait means to pray without ceasing for each other in our community and for those in service across our nation and abroad. To patiently wait upon God means to walk with God day and night. Patience like this ensures us that we will never be in the wrong place, traveling the wrong path, or doing the wrong thing. Patience like this keeps our garden alive and well.
May God bless your family and loved ones as your faith journey continues! I look forward to growing with you this year.
Christ’s peace be with you,
